יקיר

Psagot Yakir

A single vineyard varietal wine made from 100% Shiraz grapes, grown in the Binyamin region at an elevation of approximately 900 meters above sea level. Aged 12 months in new French oak barrels, this wine reveals a rich tapestry of dark fruits—raspberry and blueberry—harmoniously interwoven with subtle oak spice. Elegant, deep, and well-balanced, Psagot Yakir expresses the unique character of the terroir in which its grapes were grown. Full-bodied, with a long and unforgettable finish…

Psagot Yakir was created in honor and memory of Yakir Hexter z”l (1997–2024), who gave his life defending his people and his land in battle against Hamas in Gaza. Yakir, the son of Josh Hexter—Psagot Winery’s first winemaker—lived life with passion, vitality, and an inspiring balance between structure and spirited enthusiasm. He was an architecture student, a successful bartender, an athlete, and a joyful, loving presence among family and friends.

This wine reflects Yakir’s spirit—a deep connection between love, family, and heritage. His memory lives on in our hearts and every sip.
